Following the announcement by President Trump yesterday regarding new global tariffs, we have provided a summary below to clarify potential impacts on your shipments.

Key points from President Trump's announcement:

• • Effective from 5 April 2025, the United States will impose new global tariffs on shipments valued above the current $800 de minimis exemption.


• • Starting from 2 May 2025, shipments originating from China and Hong Kong will no longer benefit from the de minimis exemption. These goods will be liable for duties and taxes, irrespective of their declared value.

Due to the significant disruptions caused by Storm Éowyn, including extensive power outages and damage to roads and telecommunications infrastructure, Met Éireann has issued three additional weather warnings for today.
