The volumetric weight of a shipment is a calculation that represents its density. A less dense item generally occupies more space compared to its actual weight. Why is the final price different from the quote?
The two usual reasons are the size of the box and VAT.1. Size matters more than weight. The price runs on chargeable weight: the greater of the actual weight and the volumetric weight, which is calculated from the box dimensions. A large, light box is charged for its size, not for what the scale shows. If the dimensions you confirm in the booking are larger than in the quote, the transport price goes up.
