How can we help?

Can I ship this? Prohibited and restricted items

The full list is on one page: Restricted items. Anything on it, or similar to it, cannot be sent. If a listed item is shipped anyway, no compensation is paid for loss or damage, and the parcel may be disposed of.

Local regulation comes first. The laws of the countries on the route apply above our list. An item allowed by us can still be refused or seized by customs or a local authority, and the shipper is responsible for checking.

The rules asked about most

  • Batteries: a lithium battery may travel only when it is inside the device it powers. Loose batteries and power banks cannot be sent.
  • Liquids: up to 1 litre per container, sealed and packed against leaks. Alcohol, perfume, aerosols and flammable liquids are prohibited regardless of volume.
  • Documents: passports, IDs and legal documents cannot be sent. Other paperwork can, but it has no declarable value, so it cannot be insured or claimed.
  • Bicycles and e-scooters: full-size bicycles, hoverboards and electric scooters are prohibited.
  • Suitcases and bags: not accepted as they are. A suitcase must be wrapped and placed in a double-walled box; soft bags go inside a box.
  • Medicines, tobacco, cash, live plants and animals: prohibited.

Customs: shipments can be inspected and delayed by customs. The shipper is responsible for the paperwork and the rules of every country on the route.
