How can we help?

Before You Buy

Why is the final price different from the quote?

The two usual reasons are the size of the box and VAT.

1. Size matters more than weight. The price runs on chargeable weight: the greater of the actual weight and the volumetric weight, which is calculated from the box dimensions. A large, light box is charged for its size, not for what the scale shows. If the dimensions you confirm in the booking are larger than in the quote, the transport price goes up. Measure the box with its packaging before you compare, and check the volumetric weight calculator.

2. VAT is added when you log in. Prices shown to visitors who are not logged in exclude VAT, because we do not yet know whether you buy as a private person or a business. Once you log in, VAT is added at checkout according to your account and the route. Business accounts with a valid VAT number are charged according to the VAT rules of the route.

Other lines that can appear at checkout

  • Add-ons: Additional Parcel Protection and Flexible Cancellation are optional, shown as separate lines and not refundable once the order is placed.
  • Import tax: on routes outside the EU customs area.

After delivery: if the courier measures the parcel heavier or larger than declared, a surcharge is charged separately. It is not part of the order price; see why you were charged a surcharge.

To compare, open the order and read the breakdown line by line against your quote. If a line is not explained here, write to us with the order code.
