Ecommerce Shipping API: Connect and Automate Your Store

Ecoparcel connects directly to Shopify, WooCommerce, Etsy, PrestaShop and Odoo, and a public REST API covers every platform we have no plug-in for. Connect your store once and Ecoparcel imports your unfulfilled orders automatically; you pick a delivery service and buy the label, and the tracking number goes back to your store, which marks the order fulfilled. Every connected store is managed from one dashboard, My Integrations. A BigCommerce app is built and coming soon — it is in marketplace review, not live yet.
Between July 2025 and August 2026, Ecoparcel customers shipped to 44 destination countries across 661 routes, so whichever platform you sell on, the delivery side is already well travelled.
TL;DR
- Live integrations: Shopify, WooCommerce, Etsy, PrestaShop and Odoo, plus a REST API and an MCP server for AI assistants.
- A connection imports unfulfilled orders, creates shipping labels, and writes tracking numbers back to your store.
- Every connected store sits in one dashboard: My Integrations.
- BigCommerce is coming soon — the app is in marketplace review.
Which e-commerce platforms does Ecoparcel integrate with?
An e-commerce shipping integration is a direct connection between a store platform and a shipping provider that imports paid orders automatically, generates labels, and writes tracking numbers back to the store. Five platforms have that connection with Ecoparcel today, and the REST API handles the rest.
| Platform | Order import | Live checkout rates | Tracking write-back | How you connect |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Shopify | Yes | Yes | Yes | Install the Ecoparcel app from the Shopify App Store |
| WooCommerce | Yes | Yes | Yes | Authorise Ecoparcel from your WordPress admin, plus the Ecoparcel plugin for checkout rates |
| Etsy | Yes | No — Etsy sets its own rates | Yes | Sign in with Etsy |
| PrestaShop | Yes | Yes | Yes | Webservice key, plus the Ecoparcel module for checkout rates |
| Odoo | Yes | Yes | Yes | Odoo address, login and API key, plus the Ecoparcel module for checkout rates |
| REST API | Yes | Yes | Yes | API token — see the API documentation |
| BigCommerce | Coming soon — the app is in BigCommerce marketplace review | |||
Shopify has its own step-by-step Shopify guide. WooCommerce, Etsy, PrestaShop and Odoo connect in a few minutes from the My Integrations page in your dashboard; each connection screen tells you exactly which key or sign-in it needs, and each has its own setup guide: WooCommerce, Etsy, PrestaShop and Odoo.

How does the order import work?
- Connect your store from My Integrations, using the method in the table above.
- Ecoparcel fetches your unfulfilled orders automatically — no copy-pasting addresses.
- You pick the delivery service and buy the label. Home delivery or parcel locker, courier by courier, with the price shown before you commit.
- The tracking number is written back to your store and the order is marked fulfilled, so your customer gets the platform's usual shipping notification and can follow the parcel on Ecoparcel tracking.
The sync runs in both directions: orders flow in, tracking flows back, and nothing is retyped in between.

How do I connect my Shopify store?
Install the Ecoparcel app on your Shopify store, authorise it once, and your unfulfilled orders appear in the Ecoparcel dashboard from then on. The whole setup is covered in the Shopify integration guide. If you sell on WooCommerce, Etsy, PrestaShop or Odoo, start from My Integrations instead; the flow is the same once the store is connected.
What is the Ecoparcel shipping API?
A shipping API is a software interface that lets an online store request delivery prices, create shipments, print labels and fetch tracking events programmatically, so orders reach the carrier without manual data entry. Ecoparcel's REST API does all of that: the full API reference is public, and the OpenAPI schema drops straight into your client generator.
There is also an MCP server at https://www.ecoparcel.eu/mcp. An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server exposes an API as tools that AI assistants can call. Sign in with your Ecoparcel account and your assistant can quote a route, track a parcel, list your orders, open a single order and download its label mid-conversation.
Can customers see live Ecoparcel rates at my checkout?
According to the Baymard Institute, the average documented cart abandonment rate is 70.22% as of September 2025; among shoppers who abandon at checkout, 40% name extra costs such as shipping as the reason and another 20% leave because delivery was too slow. A real price and a real delivery option shown at checkout answer both objections before they cost you the sale.
Shopify, WooCommerce, PrestaShop and Odoo stores can show live Ecoparcel rates inside their own checkout, priced from your account and drawn from the same delivery services you see in the dashboard — home delivery and parcel lockers included.
Two conditions apply. On WooCommerce, PrestaShop and Odoo you install the Ecoparcel plugin for your platform and paste in your connection key. On Shopify, your Shopify plan must include carrier-calculated shipping; without it, order import and tracking write-back still work and your checkout simply keeps showing your own rates. Etsy sets buyer-facing shipping prices itself, so Ecoparcel rates are not shown there.
How does fulfilment with Ecoparcel work?
Order fulfilment, on the shipping side, is everything between your customer's payment and the courier hand-off: importing the order, choosing the delivery service, printing the label, and passing the tracking number back so the customer knows where their parcel is. Ecoparcel automates that loop for every connected store — orders import themselves, labels come from the dashboard or the API, and fulfilment status flows back to the platform without manual updates.
The delivery network behind that loop is broad. Between July 2025 and August 2026, Ecoparcel orders moved across 661 origin–destination routes through 21 partner services, among them GLS, SEUR, InPost, BRT, CTT, DPD, DHL, Itella Baltics and Venipak. Invoicing and deferred payment options depend on your Ecoparcel plan.
Selling on Amazon? Returns are their own workflow — the Amazon Returns service covers sending return parcels back to Amazon warehouses.
Frequently asked questions
Does Ecoparcel integrate with Shopify?
Yes. Install the Ecoparcel app on your Shopify store and authorise it once; your unfulfilled orders then appear in the Ecoparcel dashboard automatically. When you buy a label, the tracking number is written back to Shopify and the order is marked fulfilled. The step-by-step Shopify guide walks through the setup.
Can I import orders from Amazon or eBay?
No. Ecoparcel has no Amazon or eBay integration, and we would rather tell you that than promise one that does not exist. You can still ship those orders from the dashboard or through the REST API, and the separate Amazon Returns service covers return parcels to Amazon warehouses.
Does Ecoparcel update tracking numbers in my store automatically?
Yes. The sync works in both directions: Ecoparcel imports unfulfilled orders from your store, and once you create a shipment it writes the tracking number back and marks the order fulfilled. Your customer gets the platform's usual shipping notification, and you copy nothing by hand.
My platform isn't listed — can I request an integration?
Yes. Use the integration request form in your dashboard to tell us which platform you sell on. Until a direct integration ships, the REST API works with any platform that can make HTTP calls, and you can always create orders in the dashboard yourself.
