Ecoparcel vs Eurosender: The More Complete European Option

Ecoparcel vs Eurosender at a Glance
Ecoparcel and Eurosender sell the same broad idea: cross-border shipping across Europe, booked in one flow and carried by carrier networks such as GLS, DPD, InPost, Venipak, SEUR and BRT. The similarity ends at the booking form. What actually separates them is what sits inside the price you are quoted and what you are allowed to book at all — whether parcel protection is already included, whether a private sender can put a pallet on a truck, whether locker-to-locker is even on the menu, and what happens to your money if plans change before collection.
On each of those, Ecoparcel is the more complete option, and the sections below set out why. This is Ecoparcel's own comparison, so we hold ourselves to one rule throughout: every claim about us is one you can check against our order flow and our terms, and every Eurosender figure is labelled as Eurosender's own.
Where Ecoparcel Comes Out Ahead
- Pallets as well as parcels — private senders included: Ecoparcel quotes pallet freight up to 500 kg and 180 cm on our main lanes right next to its parcel services, and private customers can book it, not only registered companies. You stay in the same flow instead of starting again with a separate freight broker.
- €100 parcel protection at no extra cost: Most Ecoparcel services include cover up to €100 in the price you are quoted, and you can add more at booking for €2 per €100 of declared value above that, up to €1,000 per parcel. It is part of the quote from the start, not an upsell you meet on the last screen. Cover is limited to the value you declare, so declare it honestly.
- Locker2Locker, and every other combination: Door2Door, Door2Locker, Locker2Door and Locker2Locker are all bookable in one place. Locker2Locker is the contactless, better-value choice when nobody needs to meet a driver — and where we run it, it is no pilot: close to one in ten Ecoparcel shipments now travels locker to locker. Locker services depend on the local network, so availability varies by market.
- Flexible Cancellation when you want the option: Add Flexible Cancellation at booking for €3 and cancelling by 10 pm on the day before collection returns your transportation charge to your account balance in full.
- One price, shown before you commit: Live rates for your exact route and weight, with the €100 cover and the fuel surcharge already inside the figure on screen. Declare your weight and dimensions accurately and that is what you pay.
- Business accounts built for repeat volume: Automatic monthly invoicing, saved-card and SEPA Direct Debit charging, and ecommerce integrations for Shopify, WooCommerce, PrestaShop, Odoo, BigCommerce and Etsy, for stores shipping across borders every working day.
What Eurosender Publishes About Itself
Two Eurosender talking points come up whenever the platforms are compared. Both are Eurosender's own statements about Eurosender, so here they are with that label attached — and here is what Ecoparcel puts on the table against them.
- The 99.3% figure. Eurosender publishes a 99.3% issue-free delivery rate on its own website. That number is measured, calculated and reported by Eurosender itself. It is not wrong for being self-published, but it is unverifiable by anyone outside Eurosender, which is a very different thing from an independently audited statistic. Ecoparcel deliberately does not publish a self-graded headline score, because a number nobody can check is marketing, not evidence. What we will put in writing is checkable instead: more than 650 country-to-country routes with real shipment history behind them, over 20 carrier partners we have actually shipped with, and shipping to and from 24 countries across Europe. Better still, you can verify the part that concerns you in about thirty seconds — put your own route and weight into the order form and see the live price, the carrier and the service before you pay anything.
- Phone support. Eurosender lists phone numbers and states on its contact page that it aims to reply in most cases within three hours, between 08:00 and 17:30 CET, Monday to Friday. Ecoparcel runs written support on business days: chat on our help centre and tracking pages, and email ticketing attached directly to your order, in the 22 languages our platform runs in. Our assistant pulls your live tracking and order data straight into the thread, so whoever answers can already see the shipment, the carrier and the tracking, in your language, instead of you reading a reference number down a phone line. If a voice on a telephone is the single thing you value most, that is Eurosender's format. If you would rather the person answering already has your order open, that is ours.
Which One Should You Choose?
Ecoparcel. If you want the recommendation in one word, that is it — and here is the reasoning behind it.
You get parcel protection up to €100 already inside the price rather than sold back to you at the checkout. You can book a pallet up to 500 kg as a private sender instead of being handed off to a freight broker halfway through. You get Locker2Locker alongside every other door-and-locker combination in the same flow, and Flexible Cancellation whenever you want the freedom to change your mind before collection. Across more than 650 routes and over 20 carrier partners, that adds up to a better price-to-quality ratio than a platform asking you to take its own reliability score on trust.
The honest test takes about thirty seconds: enter your route and weight and see your live Ecoparcel price.
